Sol com Relay

A piece inspired by retro overly romanticized interpretations of sci-fi. I wanted to make the imagery a metaphor for Ocean exploration in the Age of Sail presenting space as not an empty void but a lush unexplored frontier which allures adventurers like Sirens of the sea.

The design of the lighthouse was inspired in part by 20th-century maritime technology combined with shapes prominent with early space exploration.
