I am an artist with over four years of experience, specialising in 2D digitally painted environments. I enjoy working in Entertainment Design and Illustration, and I thrive on visualising exciting ideas which challenge me and further enhance my abilities. I believe my strengths lie in abstract idea generation and transforming those ideas into well-composed digitally painted images.
My experience over the past years has been varied. I have had the pleasure of working with Indie Game Studios as well as individuals on their personal IP's. The diversity in my experience has given me strong foundations, a deeper understanding of how to work with many personalities and improved my design skills, which has, in turn, allowed me to live entirely from Freelance Art. While I very much enjoy working for myself and having the luxury of managing my own work/life balance, I feel like its time to rise to a new challenge. I believe working in a studio, in the active "creation-engine" of a game, would be ideal for my next step. I feel I have the qualities needed to work in-house and would revel in the ability to grow further, alongside a team of professionals.
My skills in digital painting & concept art have mainly been self-taught through a passion for the industry and a strong drive to be part of it. I did attend Coventry University (2013-2016), where I received a BA (Hons) degree in Illustration & Graphics. The course itself wasn't focused on Game art; however, I did everything possible to focus my projects on digital painting and in my final year, I developed a digital card game alongside classmates in the programming course. More recently, I plan to attend Focal Point School in Gdansk, Poland, to level up my skills and gain first-hand knowledge from industry professionals (Darek Zabrocki & Michal Kus).
